How blessed are we?

Will you meet your blessings with a smile?

This weekend, a sermon about the beatitudes by a pastor at First Presbyterian inspired me to contemplate our blessings.

We all have our work to do to free ourselves from the particular afflictions that tamper with our luminous selves. Still, we are so fortunate to stand in the light, daily, and to have the means of smiling. We may forget we have this resource. But the softest smile is always available.

I wrote this poem for you. And then I read it for you. Maybe you'll enjoy remembering the blessings we all share.

Thank you for taking a moment to listen in.
